THE BOOK: Memory and Creative Representations of the Viet Nam War
The
rare book and manuscript collections of the Philadelphia Area Consortium
of Special Collections Libraries (PACSCL) members hold rich resources
on the Viet Nam War, peace movements, and Southeast Asian immigrant
populations in Philadelphia. Come hear John Baky, Librarian at LaSalle
University, for a look at imaginative representations of the Viet
Nam War - books, poetry, plays, film, other works of art -- and
author Gary Kulik for insights on the forces that shape our memories
of the war. Also featured: information about other research resources
on the topic in PACSCL collections. Wednesday, March 16, 6:30 p.m.,
The Historical Society of Pennsylvania, 1300 Locust Street, Philadelphia
PA 19107, 215-732-6200 ext 412.
