National History Day 2008
March 12-13, 2008 -- National Constitution Center, Philadelphia

2008 Theme: Conflict and Compromise in History

National History Day is a nationwide program to help middle-school and high-school students engage with history. PACSCL is pleased to support the program in the Greater Philadelphia area.

The National Archives, Mid Atlantic Branch, serves as the coordinator for the Philadelphia regional competition and workes with more than 40 institutional partners to support the research efforts of these young scholars. Last year more than 800 students from 58 Philadelphia middle schools and high schools participated in the program.

Visit the program's website and learn how students and teams can register. Or sign up to be a judge -- it's a rewarding experience. (Judges work in teams, and there's a training session scheduled for March 8.)

PACSCL's own page of NHD/Philly resources is available at http://archives.pacscl.org/nhdphilly/
