To commemorate the two hundredth anniversary of the abolition of the international slave trade, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Library Company are pleased to co-present this special screening of Amistad, the story of 1839 mutiny aboard a slave ship in the Caribbean and the subsequent case in a U.S. District Court about the fate of the slaves.
